Technology as a tool to support learning

Research studies have reported that teachers use computers primarily for school administrative and preparatory tasks and not for instructional activities with student’s. much of these studies have explained the need to recognize the digital divide and its impact on teaching and learning social studies and to examine the digital disconnect between teachers and student’s abilities and expectations with regard to using technology.
